Are you a skilled Electrical Technician ready to enhance our team with your enthusiasm and professionalism? Do you possess the following to make you a stand-out candidate;

  • Diploma or at least 3 years of experience in same position or closely related position
  • 3 – 4 years prior experience is preferred.
  • Be highly organised with a strong ability to work under pressure.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
  • Have experience maintaining safety standards, and risk minimisation.
  • Possess the ability to pivot between working autonomously and being part of a team.

To keep you engaged and challenged your responsibilities include;

  • Conduct electrical and/or telecommunications testing in line with Australian and International Standards. This involves assessing electrical installations and circuitry including preparing plans and diagrams.
  • Collation and development of data, test reports involving performing tests and complex calculations as well as graphing results, and preparing charts for reporting to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Ensure compliance to AS ISO/IEC 17025 & 17065 and other relevant quality programs
  • Assist with the Registration and Regulator applications which also entails engaging with the company’s electrical engineers and technologists in designing electrical installations and circuitry on products, when required.
  • Development of test proformas, inspect electrical designs and circuitry, finished products to ensure compliance to specifications as well as safety regulations and standards.
  • Support of projects as required which can include estimating materials costs and quantities, installing assemblies for devices/hardware metering and relays.
  • Collaborate with and support team outcome by displaying the ability to follow outset instruction, processes and procedures.
  • Drive and assist with research projects supporting the progress of safety, efficiency, telecommunication and calibration test outcomes.
  • Effectively project manage client projects including timely client communication and auditing of documentation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Tasks and responsibilities include;

  • Conduct electrical and/or telecommunications testing in line with Australian and International Standards.
  • Analysis and the recording of results in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Completion of product test reports
  • Assure the work quantity and quality by strictly adhering to methods and procedures
  • Assist in reviewing current QA standards, policies and procedures and evaluate the effectiveness of the QA systems
  • Assist in drafting new procedures for the Quality System/s
  • Ensure compliance to AS ISO/IEC 17025 & AS/NZS ISO/IEC 17065 and other relevant quality programs
  • Ensure monitoring is completed as per the Quality plan
  • Compile statistical data and write narrative reports including summarising quality assurance findings
  • Be a key member of the quality team during internal and external audits
  • Report any quality issues to Management Team and agree remedial action

Qualification, Skills, Experience and Attributes of our Team

The successful candidate will possess,

  • Diploma or at least 3 years of experience in same position or closely related position,
  • 5 years prior experience is preferred,
  • Be highly organised with a strong ability to work under pressure,
  • Have experience maintaining safety standards, and risk minimisation and

Possess a can-do attitude coupled with attention to detail skills.  This will put you in the lead to secure an interview.  Your ability to pivot between working autonomously and part of a team will set you apart from the competition also. The successful candidate can even negotiate working part or full time hours!
